WHAT TO DRINK

DOM PERIGNON Rosé Vintage Gold 2000, Mathusalem (6L)

With wild proportions, nothing but a Mathusalem suits for size. Luminosity, too, with its light-catching, futuristic, swirled packaging; the bottle is wrapped in rose gold-covered petals, forged using traditional French goldsmith techniques.

“The 2000 Dom Perignon Rose is a flashy, ripe Champagne,” describes celebrated critic Robert Parker. “The wine continues to blossom on the palate, with utterly beguiling detail, clarity and polish, all qualities that resonate on the rich, expansive finish.”

More simply said by the same, “this is no easy-going rosé.” But this is exactly why we love it. Turn of the century, simply marvellous.

With an anticipated maturity between 2010-2025, now is the time, now is the time. Only 50 bottles exist. Now is the time.
